What can affect a car injury claim in Canada?

The effects of an accident often extend beyond an initial medical bill. Time away from work, recovery, care needs and disruption to everyday activities all help describe the situation. Keep records of the amounts you paid and the income you missed.

A Canadian car accident settlement calculator needs to distinguish reported losses from insurance benefits and damages. This tool organises your answers and shows a generic illustrative injury-model range, with financial losses separately identified. It is not a province-specific legal valuation or calculation of entitlement. Provincial guidance is shown separately. Understand the factors behind a claim estimate.

Frequently asked questions

Is the calculator completely free?

Yes. The questionnaire, available injury estimate, financial summary and provincial guides are free. There is no payment screen or account requirement.

What should I have ready?

Your accident date, province, approximate treatment history, past income loss, expenses and any reimbursements. You do not need to upload medical records or enter your name.

Does the calculator work for every province?

The generic illustrative injury model can be shown for all ten provinces and three territories when the main injury is known. It is not a province-specific legal valuation; the guides explain different benefit pathways.

Can the injury estimate be positive if I have lost no income?

Yes. In the generic model, injury severity, recovery and the effects on everyday life determine the injury component. Entering $0 for lost income and expenses does not remove that component.

Can I change my answers?

Yes. Use Back while answering, or Edit on the review screen. You can review and update your answers again after viewing the result.

What happens to my information?

Answers are processed in the current page and are not submitted to our server by the calculator. Refreshing or closing the page clears the current assessment. Read the privacy explanation.

Will “Not sure” hide my injury estimate?

Not knowing future effects, future time off or responsibility does not by itself hide the original-model illustration. Those original uncertainty assumptions are explained with the result. Most other “Not sure” answers now use conservative zero-point assumptions instead of hiding the result. An unknown main injury still prevents an injury range.

How can I get a personalised claim assessment?

Email CarInjuryCalculator@gmail.com to request contact with a legal professional who can review your circumstances and discuss what your claim may be worth. No calculator can guarantee the final amount. Read the contact information.
